I checked with Brian to see if we could get a limited list of vendors instead of having another free-text field. He said he will be able to provide that once the procurement process is over.
Size depends on whether we need to populate all the existing beacons with this info (can give AMD a spreadsheet and import it) or just create the field.
Do we need a spreadsheet from the stakeholders?
Data Tracker
We would like to have a field for the school zones that would allow us to identify vendor, make, and model of the flasher. An installation date is also needed.
ATD will be able to track installation / replacement of existing legacy equipment as we migrate to new technology. It will be used to track progress on updating the system. It would also help the signal shop to determine what type of equipment to bring when responding to trouble calls at a location.
Not really tracked right now. Spreadsheets would probably be the tool we would need to use if it isn't in Data Tracker.
Procurement of the new system will likely not happen until mid 2022. We would need this in place prior to installing the first new units.
