Excel document with initial analysis and link to dashboard were provided to attendees.
Summary
• Discussed intial findings in excel document
o Nuance of each dataset and using project length to estimate project cost
o Discuss difference between unique project count and count of EAZ intersections per project
o Data is broken down in multiple ways: Projects by EAZ type, Projects by Census Tract, Combination of all linear projects, and individual breakdown of data by project type with corresponding pivot tables
• Discussed the dashboard and how to explore the data
o Dashboard currently only includes linear projects -> VZ and Street Rehabilitation are omitted but will be added
o Filters by Project Type and specific project name
o Dashboard is used to ease the ability of exploring the tabular data without having to work through the data in excel
o Structure for Dashboard is in place to allow for data updates and edits to be reflected as they are made
• Next steps
o Incorporate VZ and Street Rehabilitation data into current dashboard
o Meet with GIS working group to discuss data wrangling and cleanup of current data
o Look for data sources available to expand analysis beyond EAZs (supermarkets, food deserts, affordable housing, etc.)
o Work to make sure all projects are represented in the map
o Obtain cost estimates for each project type/subtype by foot to determine calculated project cost
