At this time, the toggle between single-fire mode and full-auto is middle-mouse button. For me personally, this conflicts with my push-to-talk ingame (also middle-mouse button). Because this had put me in many nasty situations where I assumed I was full-auto, but instead was in single-fire mode, I decided to rebind my middle-mouse button to numpad-6, and rebound push-to-talk (ingame) to numpad-6. The issue with this is that some jobs (e.g. Genetic Researcher, Trashman) have middle-mouse button as keybind to drop DNA samples/trash bags.
In other words: I can't win.
My suggestion is to give us the ability to rebind the keybind from firemode of weapons.
Alternatives
Turn off the ability to toggle between firemodes, always at full-auto (let's be real, nobody wants to shoot single-fire..)
Motivation
My mouse does not support a lot of extra buttons to use, and the push-to-talk keybind on my mouse is something I'm used to for every game. In this game, it's more important than ever.
Also rebinding my middle-mouse button to something that isn't middle-mouse button showed me how often I use that key. I really don't want to keep switching keybindings in my Logitech software all the time.
Context
Switching between firemodes (need to be holding a gun in order for this to work)
