Once someone gets off it it is no longer able to be used with emplacement binoculars.
If you connect emplacement binocs to a mortar, then use the mortar, you will not be able to use it again unless a second person with emplacement binocs uses it so you don't get off it. I've been destroying and building new Mortars every time and it really does waste a lot of supplies.
