This concerns the representation of the heatwave events (frequent, occasional, rare) data that can be found in the table here.
Although this representation is useful for the further calculations for PLINIVS, it is not really clear to the user what this means. e.g. what does 0.066 days at 37°C mean for the user?
So I have generated data showing the maximum daily temperature experienced during heatwaves of two different durations:
2 days (characteristic: intense)
7 days (characteristic: long)
The temperature given for each of the three events (frequent, occasional, rare) shows the typical maximum temperature experienced for these 3 events.
The format of these files is nearly identical to that of the precipitation files shown here
Units are in degrees Celsius. Missing value is 0.

This data is not meant for further calculations, but rather to give the user an idea of what to expect from heatwaves of 2days and 7days duration.
I will upload this data as an index into the European wide data packages as well.
