Chuck & Erica add: date format, author, and styling for date, author, hr #15

@ngoldman @fardog @pdxmele The styling I added is mainly to give each blog excerpt on the main page some space and separate each post really cleanly. The issue before was that all the text was wrapping around images I had.

@ngoldman I know you are planning to restyle the site - whatever happens to the styles I added later on is fine :)

I just finished a bunch of work which may conflict with this a bit -- I'll merge this and rebase, then send a PR with a screenshot showing what I did.
