Proposal for site content #9

I think a prime use of the website would be to display a list of members (with a possible brief outline of skills and interests), alongside ongoing / potential projects that are interested in connecting with volunteer coders.

The site has excellent potential to be a gateway/hub between the developer community, and organizations that would not otherwise know where to start.

I imagine we could start this with a simple, low-tech series of lists; before we make it any fancier, we might want to brainstorm and see with what organizations / technologies we'd like to integrate before we go down a more technical path.

Any thoughts?

@MikeCaputo Sounds like a great idea to me!

Agreed; I'd much rather start out the simple way and then plan for future technical iterations. For now, the GitHub Pages-build Jekyll site is a good simple fit.

For the list of members; If you have a format in mind please feel free to submit a PR as it'll be a while before I can work something up. I think just a "members" folder with an index.md, we can encourage members to fork and submit PRs to that file—makes for a good initiation to the process.
