The spotlight was on Simeon's mashed potatoes, gravy, and cranberry sauce, Leigh's roasted veggies, Ashley's box of 85° goodies, and Kris' tamales!
In the Lab 🔬
@svincent: Simeon shared some highlights from his time at Offline Camp and his idea to build an offline blog based on @TasteJS's TodoMVC and web components.
@lapaperboy: Kris shared about his trip to Atlanta for Untokening and how the discussions of "equity" relate to some fascinating journalistic research he's done on the politics of transportation in Orange County.
CodeLab Floating Library 📚: Ashley brought a borrowed copy of a catalog from a Winter 1996 exhibition of the Beat Generation at New York's Whitney Museum, as well as Tokyo Diary, a zine she picked up from Commune Press at the 2015 NY Art Book Fair. Leigh brought a book she made back in college about "alternate realities," a zine of the only photographs left from a night the author left his car unlocked, and the mesmerizing Your Illustrated Guide to Becoming One with the Universe by LA-based comic artist Yumi Sakugawa.

CodeLab, Biking 🚴 + Ice Cream 🍦 Edition: A field trip to The Bicycle Tree and Elado?!
Group Quarterly Projects 💡: In 2017, we'd like to create short-term group projects (constrained by deadline) that would last ~3 months. This would be a great way for all skill-levels to commit to a short project, build skills and teamwork, and add to our portfolios. Civic-minded projects (a la Code for America) would be a great starting point. Let's brainstorm!
CodeLab Floating Library 📚: We invite you to bring some books to share at future meetups. Code-related not required.
Lightning Talks ⚡️: We want to give you a chance to highlight how your background in art, geography, journalism, etc. relates to our collective coding pursuits (or not), unconference-style. Also, maybe a visit from someone at @datadesk?!
