Tried it with with the drag and drop method, this is the error I get

Someone wrote me this: I had a certificate problem with accessing the site, try with the following instead in Help->Install new software: http://coderplus.github.io/m2e-connector-for-maven-remote-resources-plugin/

Worked for me. -> changes to the link: https to http
