very slow connection speed #447

server alma linux 8

windowd 10 64bit

wireguard client

connection speed is very slow , inly few mbits download, upload 45mbit i try diffrent mtu settings, results is not changed much how we can fix this problem ?

How loaded is the Alma Linux server? What are its specs for CPU / RAM? Is it hardware-based or virtualized? If virtualized, what is the Are you as a client in the same location or different locations? Any traffic shaping configured somewhere in between the server and the client??

Just to give you an idea of what Wireguard is capable of - my home server runs hundreds of megabits over Witeguard on a 1gbit uplink.

So the server looks fine. Can you try the same Speedtest server from your home internet? What values do you get without Wireguard?
