At that point of the Bedevere project, I think that is nice to take a look to the lessons learned by the ImageNet folks when dealing with the ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge.

I've been spending a bit of time going back to the ImageNet project lately, and wanted to revive this thread... namely, what's our definition of done for this issue?

one idea might be to write up a short summary of how our efforts are influenced by ImageNet? we could take note of things like

learnings / insight from the previous project
ideas that we've implemented here
ways that we've deviated

does this seem like a worthy goal? if so, any other bulletpoints worth adding?
