Update: I believe the issue was my firewall between my home network and my IoT network. It seems to be cocifgured and running. DId not see a way to delete this. Thanks!
I set-up the local access.
I am getting failed to connect. Not sure how/where to debug. I am only providing the IP address in the configuration.
I shutdown and restarted the hayward omnilogic controller with no change.
Access via the app and cloud home assistant integration works great. I confirmed the IP address directly from the unit. Can ping the IP just fine (not sure if there is another way to validate the service is accessible)
