UI frozen after making a selection #103

Describe the bug

When the user makes a selection of elements, the UI freezes.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open the demo network
  2. Load in the GAL filtered network in the debug menu
  3. Select a group of elements with shift-and-drag box selection
  4. The UI becomes unresponsive

Expected behavior A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen. The UI should not be blocked. The user shouldn't feel stuck

It seems that this is related to bypasses.
