Is it the uncommonly downloaded warning, or the malware warning?
We may want to investigate an alternative installer if it's NSIS itself.
Malware.
The installer scans clean over at VirusTotal (which Google recommends using for checks). I figure a deep scan triggered on drgcs.exe and declared everything bad.
The annoying part is that Chrome doesn't allow you bypassing the alert without disabling it completely. Which is idiotic, considering they know about false positives, as per what you posted in the other discussion.
I just installed Chrome on a Windows 10 machine, downloaded the latest nightly installer from https://dronin.org/nightlies and ran it. Chrome had no issues, Windows "SmartScreen" "protected" my PC, but of course if you click through their nagware dialog you can still run it. Windows Defender itself had no problem after I installed dR and ran a scan. Basically, I cannot repro any of the issues except "SmartScreen", which occurs for everything that isn't signed AFAIK.
Ah, grabbed Wired and indeed Chrome did block it. That's very strange.
-e- Neat and nightlies are fine. Firefox also blocks Wired installer...
Seems we need to file a security issues report at Google, on their stupid Search Console.

~Is dronin.org set up on that?~
I suppose being hosted on Github is an issue?
