Art Exposé: An e-commerce website

Art Exposé combines art and entertainment in one piece. Apparel of high quality depicting artists and beauty with great design and imagery.

Branding

Art Exposé branding is simple. Where art meets entertainment in apparel.

Logo

Logo is a minimalist version of the concept of our brand. The design depicts quality and beauty.

Colours

The colours used are cold and are a palette that reflects peace and beauty.

Typography

Montserrat Playfair and Meddon are the fonts of choice. The pairing of those fonts reflect and are in harmony with the colour chosen for this eccomerce website.

Installation

The pattern library is a Jekyll & Patternbot based application, so it requires Ruby to be installed.

☛ Follow these instructions to get Ruby & Bundler installed

  1. Navigate to the correct folder in Terminal. Use GitHub Desktop’s Repository > Open in Termal command.
  2. Type the following command bundle install

Starting the server

The pattern library is a Jekyll & Patternbot based application that requires a running Terminal instance.

  1. Navigate to the correct folder in Terminal. Use GitHub Desktop’s Repository > Open in Termal command.
  2. Type the following command: bundle exec jekyll serve
  3. View the functional website at: http://localhost:4000
  4. View the pattern library at: http://localhost:4000/pattern-library/
