Add endpoint for status checks #3

It would be nice to have an endpoint, for example /ping/, that one can check to see if the system is up (with for example Uptime Robot).

It doesn't need to respond with anything fancy, as long as the status code is 200 OK. A good message would be something like I'm alive!
