Clean up readme and notes #19

Did some minor cleaning up of the readme as well as the chat logs of the notes for session 1 and 2 in order to make them more readable and consistent. I.e., aligned bibliographic formatting, readings consistent across notes, typos corrected, whitespaces added for line breaks.

There are other things to do to these docs as in #20... add in links to recorded calls and notes from readme, recorded call link in notes, etc. however I'll leave that to another time/PR!
