Note

As of 8th Aug 2019, we refactored this "table of contents for Elementor" plugin from KB Elementor to TOC Pack with adding more skins and fixing some necessery bugs. Afterwards it will be available as a premium plugin with premium supports. You can download TOC pack from here donating very small amount of money.

Elementor Plugin for creating wiki like knowledge based site | Learning Management Site | Category-Post tree | Series of Posts | Table of Content

Description

If you are one those who loves posting content in an organized manner then KB Elementor is the perfect plugin for you. It consists couple of small widgets required to create a simple wiki like knowledge based site, a tutorial like blog site or a simple learning management site. It depends upon free Elementor plugin.

Currently it includes 2 widgets and counting

  1. TOC Headings. Creates a nice table of content for heading tags customizable by Elementor Page Builder
  2. TOC Posts. Creates a table of content of posts grouped by their respective categories / terms / taxonomies. It also provides the facility to create and reorder posts and terms from both frontend and backend.

Installation

  1. Install using the WordPress built-in Plugin installer, or Extract the zip file and drop the contents in the wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation.
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to Pages > Add New
  4. Press the 'Edit with Elementor' button.
  5. Now you can find our widgets inside KB Elementor section, just drag and drop widgets from the left panel onto the content area and customize your settings.
  6. If you are not able to see the headings, please follow the instruction here.

Be a contributor

KB Elementor is free and open source. It was created with the developer in mind. Even if you are a beginner level coder, you can easily create a widget skin to extend it further and send us a PR. Don't want to mess up with code !!! No worry. You can test, evaluate and create issue if find any. We are developing here in GitHub Repository.

How to Release

  1. Change the version number in the header comment of the plugin.php to the new version number.
  2. Change the version number in the 'Stable tag' field of the readme.txt and README.md file.
  3. Add a new sub-section in the 'changelog' section of the readme.txt file, briefly describing what changed compared to the last release. This will be listed on the 'Changelog' tab of the Plugin page.
  4. Commit the changes and create a release from master branch, https://deployer.seravo.com/ will take care of rest i.e updating svn trunk, creating tag etc automatically.
