Initial email sent 5/14:

Hi David,

Tom and I would like to help you get started using the Aurora data on our systems.

As a first step, please visit the XSEDE site and create a portal ID. A set of instructions on how to do this (from another project) are located here:

http://www.brainimagelibrary.org/XSEDEportal.html

Once you have created an XSEDE portal ID, email it to us so we can add you to the project’s computer allocation.

It would be beneficial if we understood what workflows or other computational analyses you would like to do, so we can advise you on the most efficient way to use those workflows on our Bridges System. Can you please describe what you would like to do with the data? If this would be easier to do over the phone, please suggest a few days and times when you would be available.

Sincerely,

Alexander Ropelewski Operations Director, Brain Image Library MMBioS Training and Dissemination Co-lead Director, Biomedical Applications Group Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center 300 South Craig Street Pittsburgh PA 15213 412-268-4960

Due to no response, Follow up email sent 7/3/19: Hi David,

I wanted to follow up with you on access to the Aurora data on the PSC’s systems. To get access, please do the following:

  1. Create an XSEDE portal account: To create an XSEDE Portal Account, visit the portal website at portal.xsede.org.
  2. Email the portal ID to ropelews@psc.edu and tmaiden@psc.edu so you can be added to the project grant. You will receive several automated emails from the process. The last email will direct you to the website apr.psc.edu which is used to create your initial password or reset your password (if you already have an account).
  3. Once your account is created, please email ropelews@psc.edu and tmaiden@psc.edu so we can set up a call to help you to get started. Alex.
