Commercial Dishwasher Detergent & Rinse Aid for EU Market / German Market? #11

Open Xearoxde opened 3 years ago

Xearoxde commented 3 years ago

Hello everyone,

does someone know where I can get dishwater detergent & rinse aid for the EU Market / German Market? On German Sites I find only b2b offers but nother for customers.

Maybe you know which dealer sells it for non-business customers.

Thanke you.

Hi Xearoxde,

I’m in France and I have the same issue.

I bought some days ago detergent & rince aid from a belgium website :

Sorry, their website is only in french and in dutch, but they ship to France, Luxembourg, Germany, Netherlands, Spain…

It’s also quite cheap (but not as cheap as in Britain).

i didn’t try the detergent and rinse aid yet, because I didn’t receive them yet. So I can’t say if they work with Bob. They seems to be more concentrated than the ones recommended by the author.

Xearoxde commented 3 years ago

Thank you for sharing this. Maybe you can share your results from testing.

jangrewe commented 3 years ago

I've ordered the Element-brand supplies from Xanchemie in Germany - straight from them instead of Amazon, to save on double shipping and also 4€ on the rinse aid.

http://shop.xanchemie.de/product_info.php?products_id=48 http://shop.xanchemie.de/product_info.php?products_id=46

Although still quite a bit more expensive than UK supplies, the dosage is perfect for the detergent and a bit too high for the rinse aid.

@dekuNukem After reading through the conversations on your Discord server and here on github, I think it would be great to have a wiki page here listing detergents people have tried, where to buy them from and what results they achieved with them. If you like I could create a draft for that?

thisisthekap commented 3 years ago

@dekuNukem @Melanoneiro Yes, that definitely would help a fortune!

Hi Xearoxde,

I’m in France and I have the same issue.

I bought some days ago detergent & rince aid from a belgium website :

* detergent : https://eshop.medipost-nutristoma.com/produits/medical/desinfection-hygiene/liquide-de-lavage-exeol-pour-lave-vaisselle-5-litres.html

* rinse aid : https://eshop.medipost-nutristoma.com/produits/medical/desinfection-hygiene/liquide-de-rincage-vaisselle.html

Hi,

I finally tested the deterged and rince aid I talked about earlier.

I knew that they was much more concentrated than the ones recommended by the author, so I diluted them by a factor 2. I mixed 65mL of detergent with 65mL of water, and I mixed 17mL of rince aid with 17mL of water.

Security-info-detergent.pdf Security-info-rinse-aid.pdf

The results was not very good. I had a lot of white powder on my pans after a wash. I guessed it was due to a too high concentration of detergent.

So, I removed 30mL of the detergent mix and replaced it with water. The new mix is now a 1:2.67 dilution ratio of the "pure" detergent.

I don't have white powder on my pans anymore, so I guess 1:2.67 dilution ratio is the good one. For the moment, I will stay with 1:2 dilution ratio for rince aid.

If I do the calculation, it means that my detergent tank will last 30 washes 5000mL / (130/2.67) = 3080 washes (or more than 8 years for 1 wash per day). For the rince aid tank, it's 30 washes 5000mL / (35/2) = 8570 washes (or more than 23 years)

If I throw out the rinse aid after 8 years (Is it still efficient after so much years ?), I would have spent 36€ including delivery for 8 years (and 3000 washes). It's 4,5€ per year, or 1,1 cent per wash.

Neat :)

Attention : This is still a WIP. I need to test my dosages for a long time before being sure they are good. Also, for the record, I have a quite hard water at home (Conductivity à 25°C = 629 µS/cm or French TH = 35)

hi, any news about the mixtures and/or other products?

Ah ok. just checked the specs. im just a bit unsure if the dilution. if bob uses 1.x ml of rinse aid per litre and the specs are about 0.1 to 0.5 ml it would be way too much.

thisisthekap commented 3 years ago

@Xearoxde @KleBoR Has someone done the calculations already how many water we have to add to those to have proper concentration?

KleBoR commented 3 years ago

@thisisthekap not until now :/

I am in France too and I bought the same products as @lechercheur123 thanks to his recommendation. I do not dilute them and I just refill the cassettes with the pure product. I have very good results, maybe even better than with the original cassettes. The filter in Bob remains clean much longer. My water is very soft, though, as I have a water softerner installed.

I used the detergent in the Rock'n Roll cassette too and it did the job.

lechercheur123 commented 3 years ago

@VVincentt Glad to help you :) I finished my first refiled cassette yesterday. I will try to use pure detergent too :) (but I have a quite hard water, with a TH around 30°f)

lechercheur123 commented 3 years ago

detergent : https://eshop.medipost-nutristoma.com/produits/medical/desinfection-hygiene/liquide-de-lavage-exeol-pour-lave-vaisselle-5-litres.html
rinse aid : https://eshop.medipost-nutristoma.com/produits/medical/desinfection-hygiene/liquide-de-rincage-vaisselle.html

Cependant, ils n'ont pas le détartrant dans leur catalogue.

Pour un bidon de 5L de détergent et de liquide de rinçage, j'en ai eu pour 36€, livraison incluse.

Hi Joel44220,

Thank you for your contribution.

I use the same product as you, but I found them somewhere else cheaper :

detergent : https://eshop.medipost-nutristoma.com/produits/medical/desinfection-hygiene/liquide-de-lavage-exeol-pour-lave-vaisselle-5-litres.html
rinse aid : https://eshop.medipost-nutristoma.com/produits/medical/desinfection-hygiene/liquide-de-rincage-vaisselle.html

But the limescale is missing on this website.

For a 5L bottle of detergent and 5L bottle of rinse aid, I paid 36€, including delivery.

@Joel44220 @lechercheur123 @bendardenne Guys, could you please have the common decency to keep the conversation in the language that it started in? I'm also not a native english speaker, but this is the internet, so please use the common language of the internet.

If you read down you will see that @lechercheur123's comment has an English translation at the bottom. As for my comment, it's addressed to Joel specifically as he (most likely unintentionally) leaked personal data and I want to make sure he understands that.

I understand the sentiment but no need to be rude.

jangrewe commented 3 years ago

@bendardenne: I said "please" twice, how's that rude?

lechercheur123 commented 3 years ago

@bendardenne: I said "please" twice, how's that rude?

Well, in France saying "avoir la décence de" (translation of "have the decency") is quite offensive. But I understand this was not your intention.

I agree with you that this topic should stay in English (as in most forums). But @Joel44220 might not speak English (and he joined Github just before posting his message, so he might not be used to this "unspoken" rule).

That's why I wrote my message in both languages, in order to not offend anyone.

Joel44220 commented 3 years ago

Bonsoir,

Intentionally ignoring the now-not-unspoken-anymore rule after being asked nicely to make the conversation accessible to everyone, now that feels rude... but if my school french is sufficient, that problem will solve itself soon enough.

KleBoR commented 3 years ago

@jangrewe have you managed the right concentration of those two xanchemie products?

Xearoxde commented 3 years ago

I fill the pure liquid into the cassettes and I have a very good finish. With bob's cassettes I have always water stains on glas and plastic.

I used the detergent in the Rock'n Roll cassette too and it did the job.

Having finally tried it with the same product, I can also report the results are very good. Using it undiluted too (given the price, I don't see too much point in diluting, as long as it works fine...)

I have to dilute the detergent (not the rinse aid) with a 1/3 factor (2/3 water). If I don't dilute it, I have some white powder on my dishes.

Personnaly, I don't mind to dilute the detergent. It just means that the detegent tank will last 3500 washes, so 10 years :) (for 1 wash a day)

KleBoR commented 3 years ago

@Xearoxde nice. so you also use the pure rinse aid? i was just worried cause the manual says 0,1 to 0,5 ml per liter - and bob uses 1.17ml rinse aid per liter, so with this rinse aid it uses more than twice as much needed.

Thank you :)

@Xearoxde how is it working with the pure rinse aid you bought?

What are you using for the rock&roll cartridge?

I was wondering the same! The reset seems to work, but I have not found the composition of the de-scaler.

So am I understanding correct that these two products are the perfect concentration for filling up the cassette? They don't need any additional preparing, diluting? I could buy these, fill up the cassette and use the rewinder?

FYI for anyone from switzerland, while xanchemie doesn't list switzerland on their order form you can email them to order anyways, shipping is quite steep but not as bad as i expected

efouladi commented 1 year ago

Any suggestion for a seller that ships to Sweden?
