Issue #1101 has been done by @ahmedagdmoun His work is available here: https://github.com/ahmedagdmoun/IDE-Migration The scope of this story is

[x] integrating (copying) the code into a new folder named ide in our ide repository.
[x] adapt the pom.xml to inherit from our ide top-level pom
[x] add the new project as module to our top-level pom
