Github order design #86

Open pfey03 opened 7 years ago

pfey03 commented 7 years ago

A change in plan from the original design as we do slightly different order confirmations for Users and DSC staff!

This is how it is proposed in the DSC grant Aim 3 (2)

See designs below

@cybersiddhu I have some questions, comments.

  1. The Strain Characteristics are currently restricted to Drug resistance, these are the direct children of drug resistance in the ontology. Would be nice to keep that way https://github.com/dictyBase/migration-data/blob/master/ontologies/dicty_strain_characteristics.obo

  2. Let me know if it's easy to bundle the strains to be listed first and the plasmids to be listed second if there are strains (and we will order if the other materials are in database). Then one big header for each is fine as is above. If not then each item needs a header, but ordering would be great (First DBS IDs, then DBP IDs etc)

  3. For the Storage terms, most are also from the new ontologies, as well as the headers are deduced from new ontology. Here is the breakdown:

    • The Stored As is a term in both the dicty_strain_inventory.obo and the dicty_plasmid_inventory.obo; the terms associated for BOTH Strain and Plasmid are in dicty_storage_condition.obo
    • The term 'Location' is in both inventory ontologies; the location itself is stored in those fields
    • No of vials for strains has the term 'number of vials' in the dicty_strain_inventory.obo, the actual number is in that field.
    • The Color as term itself and the specific colors come either from dicty_strain_inventory.obo or the dicty_plasmid_inventory.obo, respectively

4.. If number 3 sounds fine, meaning that the storage conditions are in one ontology for strains and plasmids but the inventory info is in separate ontologies, then we are ok. I recently combined the storage conditions as it made sense, but maybe combining the inventory.obos would also make sense as for example colors are redundant? Let me know!

Also, I hope this can easily reformatted for email!

pfey03 commented 7 years ago

updated the Title because this is what it actually should be in Git - as it is currently, so no change there. But for EMAIL, it should be BETTER as it's now: Currently: Order Confirmation NEW: DSC Order Confirmation

pfey03 commented 5 years ago

Below is first the Design for the USERs (sent as PDF), and below the same order for the DSC staff in Git.

1) for the USER: Link just the payment info page below after the total calculated sum. Cannot do that formatting here . Also, the link font I couldn't reduce Also, The User PDF will not contain strain characteristics as they won't need them as confirmation.

2) For the DSC GIt entry, the strain characteristics will be added and also Plasmid keywords, but no references needed. Storage info is extra for DSC staff

This is not correct! Shipping and billing is and must be different!! Why not using the table design I did? Often it's different names and the major difference is it's either their shipping company ID and for billing how they pay!

cybersiddhu commented 4 years ago

I am exploring it, the table design is really weird, the table just does not fit well for address. To get that information, i have to write a multiple line single row which we don't do that generally.

pfey03 commented 4 years ago

Ok, then at least put the correct info if it has to be listed one after the other
