When will mobile sdk support mavic mini? It's not listed in https://developer.dji.com/products/#!/mobile.
Thank you.
Maybe in the middle of next year.
@EXEShirley have customers asking about Mavic Mini support
Public comment from Lisa Fedane in Zendesk ticket #30026:
@ajf55 - thanks for letting us know that your customers are requesting SDK support for the Mavic Mini. As Shirley mentioned, we will be releasing this support in a 2020 release. In the meanwhile, can you let me know what app you've developed so that we can keep a record of who is requesting Mavic Mini support?

Hi, I am a Data Scientist and I would love to buy Mavic Mini also for developing apps using AI and object detection. I would love to have the SDK enabled. Thank you very much!
Will there be a 32bit Version of the SDK ? (even when no 32bit App version will be relased...)
I use Pix4D and DJI GS pro, so I hope them can support Mavic Mini.
Awaiting the SDK release as soon as it comes :)
Also eagerly waiting for the SDK release!
I would also love to see SDK for the Mavic Mini. PS Is it possible to extend Java SDK also with Windows/Mac/Linux desktop support, not only Android?
Awaiting SDK to buy Mini
Me too awaiting SDK to buy and many others in my region.
What about the beta version of SDK?
Waiting for the release for mini SDK
Iam also waiting for mavic mini sdk
Please, any update from DJI team about mavic mini SDK ? Thanks
We get questions about the Mavic Mini a fair amount at https://community.opendronemap.org. There is a lot of interest in seeing API support for this so that people can do mapping missions. While there's little advantage (other than prices and portability) to the Mini in US airspace, around the world, some regulations are much much easier on the 249g platform.
I have a drone mapping workshop I am giving in Southeast Asia in November and the local regulations become much simpler to fly the Mini, but it is quite challenging to do a mapping mission with it for the time being.
Having a SDK for the Mavic Mini would be great. Hope they'll consider it, it's a really good entry-level drone.
I would pay an extra $200 to access waypoint missions via SDK on the Mavic Mini.
Any updates on this? In the DJI forum the sdk release was announced for april. Is this being worked on?
I look forward for this!
It's April of 2020, any status updates?
With the new release of the Mavic Air 2, also using the DJI Fly app, I am also interested to know whether or not there is planned support for the Mavic Air 2 in addition to the Mavic Mini.
@kimballh we will support both, Mini first, then Air2
kimballh we will support both, Mini first, then Air2
If you don't mind, could you provide a general ETA (this month, next month etc)? @Michael-DJI Very excited, regardless!
Mavic Mini around July, Mavic Air2 around September
Will that coincide with platform 5 SDK which should level the field across all the SDKs?
Will that coincide with platform 5 SDK which should level the field across all the SDKs?
no, still on 4.X series, maybe 4.13
Mavic Mini around July, Mavic Air2 around September
Would it be available also for iOS?

Are we still hopeful for next month ? My mavic never flys anymore as it’s way more capable than it’s current limitations It’s quite a sad loss until this is released. The mavic mini is just a slightly better mavic air without the SDK

yes
This really needs to happen.

Could you give an update on which features will be supported?
Im really looking forward to use it for data science at work and it would be quite nice to know what i could expect from it.

Ah my bad
Happy July 1st! It seems DJI responded a while ago, would be awesome to get a confirmation on the ETA on the SDK for mini. Cheers 4/7 edit: Dji Developer platform gives ETA on 13 July.
looking forward to this as well.
Me too

Oh great thanks for the update. Let's see if it gonna be delivered on time.
ETA still today?
last I heard. we should also watch https://developer.dji.com/ , it has release notes.
ETA still today?
Unlikely, it's already 9pm for DJI. Most patch note threads are made around 1-3am EST which is there 1-3PM, Github was down early this morning during DJI's release hours so I'd look for this update later in the week. AbeardedItalian <---BTW.

Oh that's bad, well in EST it's 4:15pm maybe there's hope... I don't think so but hopefully we'll get it this week.
Guys meanwhile we are waiting for this SDK could someone explain me what should I expect? My Mini is my first drone, I have experience with Android Studio and programming in general. How I will use this SDK? Will it be safe for my drone? For example what it will take to programm drone to visit certain waypoints and eg. take a photo of them and then return to home? Will I be able to override automatic feature with controller ?
check out the documentation https://developer.dji.com/document/544659e8-9dab-4ad8-9414-a31e1c9b89b1
the latest new is that the releasing of MSDK 4.13 has been postponed to the end of this monty (July), QA team were testing the package daily, thank you all for the waiting!
