Inconsistency between deletion request preview and web/datasvc information #851

Dear PhEDEx devs,

I tried to create a deletion request for the following three datasets:

/DYJetsToLL_TuneZ2_M-50_7TeV-madgraph-tauola/Fall11-PU_Chamonix12_START44_V10-v1/AODSIM /GluGluToHToTauTau_M-125_7TeV-powheg-pythia6/Fall11-PU_Chamonix12_START44_V10-v1/AODSIM /GluGluToHToZZTo4L_M-115_7TeV-powheg-pythia6/Fall11-E7TeV_Ave32_50ns-v1/GEN-SIM-RAW-HLTDEBUG-RECO

But after clicking preview, I got that the first two items are not known to phedex, even though, I can find it through datasvc and webpage:

https://cmsweb.cern.ch/phedex/datasvc/xml/prod/data?dataset=/DYJetsToLL_TuneZ2_M-50_7TeV-madgraph-tauola/Fall11-PU_Chamonix12_START44_V10-v1/AODSIM

Is this behaviour known? and what will happen if I delete these datasets, are they going to be deleted or skipped as unknown and therefore leave some junk?

Hi Rapolas,

thanks for reporting this, I was not aware of it.

If you go through with the request, the data will be correctly deleted. The preview is based on a separate analysis from the actual subscription mechanism, and it does not entirely surprise me that there is still a bug in it.
