phedex request - password authentication not working

I was unable to submit a request with phedex. I received an error saying: "Error: You must be authenticated to access this API.\n"

Here are some details:

Hi Tony,

it seems that password authentication on the PhEDEx Request::Create page is broken, at least for this user - could you have a look?

Hi Tony,

note - I reproduced this issue myself, using Firefox10 without my certificate on SLC5.

If I go to

https://cmsweb.cern.ch/phedex/prod/Request::Create

the frontend prompts me to log in with the HN password, and I'm able to do it successfully:

DB Instance:Production ?? Nicolo Magini | Sign out Logged in via Password

However, when I fill in the request form and click on "Accept", I get the same error message reported by Andrew:

"Error: You must be authenticated to access this API.\n"

It seems that the website is not passing the correct authentication token to the datasvc subscribe API?

since the HN breakin, passwords are no longer allowed, so this has become invalid.
