Email notifications for phedex requests approved via the updaterequest api

In contrast to requests which are approved via the webform, requests approved using the updaterequest api do not send email notifications to the requestor / data managers of the affected sites.

Having these notifications would provide immediate feedback to data managers whether some request was already taken care of.

Is this feature planned for the near future? Since we are running a disk-tape separated setup, we will soon approve transfers automatically with a script that also creates the needed tape families. Since we still want to keep informed about it, we will need some kind of email notification. If phedex doesn't offer one we will have to implement one ourselves. Therefore feedback about this feature request would be appreciated...
