It is possible to import the project without plugins like eGit.
Just use right click in package explorer -> import -> projects from git. Then follow the instructions.
You can use the egit plugin for eclipse in import the rep right away. You can also use the command line, that's what I do.

Are you sure? ... i dont have this option in my import I mean if i import this android project from my local git repository into my workspace, then files i change will just be saved in my workspace, right? ... then i would have to copy them to the git rep and have to push them. this is kind of stupid.
I think it's pre-installed if you download the full package from Google Android(eclipse, sdk ...)
Well... you always have to push and pull, if thats what you mean. Don't know any other way with gitHub
yeah i think its about the eclipse version. i just downloaded the classic one.
thats clear. just was thinking of linking the git rep with the workspace so that i dont have to copy files from the workspace to the git rep. ;) but whatever.
