The DREAM RET System

This repository covers a software system for Robot Enhanced Therapy (RET) aimed to treat children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). This system was developed within the research project DREAM: Development of Robot-enhanced Therapy for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, funded by the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) of the European Commission, grant 611391. The project started in April 2014 and finished March 2019.

This software system is described in detail in Cai et al. (2019). See also Esteban et al. (2017) and Cao et al. (2019) for a broader presentation of this approach to autism therapy.

Documentation

The main documentation is found in the DREAM Wiki.

The DREAM RET System is built on the robotic's middleware YARP, and is thus a component based system. Component documentation can be found in DREAM/release/doc/component_doc/index.html. This documentation has been generated using Doxygen and can be rebuilt to reflect changes made by modifying the included doxygen config file and re-running doxygen.

Unless otherwise specified, all software created as Copyright © DREAM is to be regarded as Open Source under the GPLv3 licence. In this project there are several third party software libraries that are covered under their own licences. Please check the source files for more details.
