Introduce vertical display beta #22

This PR introduces a beta option in the display settings. This is not complete and could definitely use a bit more fine tuning. The Vertical option was labeled as (Beta) in the select, so there should be some level of awareness that not everything will be perfect.

Good idea, I've already started working on the vertical mode and will make more adjustments based on that and this pr sometime soon.
