Use of Communal Gardens and Mezzaine Walkway #109

Open ghost opened 6 years ago

ghost commented 6 years ago

Got a letter from Sterling Estates Management telling all commercial units to cease using the Victoria Wharf Communal Gardens and Mezzaine Walkway. Also they've complained about there being chairs outside the back of the building and they need to be removed (are these ours or FAC's?)

@iteles do we have any agreement or mutual understanding with the residents that we're allowed to use this space (for breaks or photos - e.g. the FAC group photos) or should we not be using it at all?

I don't think it will be that much of an issue as we're going into winter now, but thought I would record it.

I was under the impression we didn't use these anyway? At most we take a phone call on the walkway if needed.

@sofer will know the details of what has been agreed here.

I have no idea how much they're used, but it's something we include on our 'tour'

@iteles we've used the space before e.g. when nelson described the chat app with the whiteboard to Finn and Zooey

I know that the current cohort of F&C have been using the gardens/walkways a lot. Is there any communication we can/should give to them about their usage of this space?

iteles commented 6 years ago

@ZooeyMiller Yes. They shouldn't be using them as far as I know. @sofer will know best!

"a lot" is probably an overstatement, especially now the weather has changed. I don't think this will be a significant issue again until the Spring, however we do need to remove the furniture. Last time we got a letter about this, we took it to mean, "stop taking over the roof garden". It sounds like this is stronger. A note on the back of the door at no 14 is probably needed.
