Hi @markwilliamfirth the bin I was looking at was for a different purpose. (I was looking for a compost bin for the veranda @ home...) But I can investigate options for a "general" waste bin for QuietSpace ...
We need specific criteria for what we are looking for in a waste bin. My top 7 criteria are:
Can anyone else
think of criteria/requirements for a bin?
And also, how many should we get? @otajor does the bin upstairs get used much?
@nelsonic we have two kind of paper-basket type bins. They both get used a moderate amount but more for stuff that doesn't need a plastic bin-bag. If there were a more serious bin upstairs I reckon it would get used too.
I favour something you don't have to touch to open (and where the waste doesn't touch the lid) and is easy to clean like: https://www.amazon.co.uk/simplehuman-Litre-Plastic-Slim-Pedal/dp/B004L9L3KW/
@iteles it's been bought :D
Lid is uneven - needs to be sent back
Sad times... 😞 thanks for sorting it Mark. 👍
Sending back the bin - has been repackaged with return label. Hermes will be collecting it on Monday
New bin has been purchased - should be arriving next week
@markwilliamfirth link to new one? (curiosity...) 😉
It's there! And I put up a little sign to explain the hand waving to people because folks were just yanking the lid open.
Need to formalise the sign but other than that I think we can close this!
People can open the lid if they want - it works manually too
buy new rubbish bin for quietspace - standard size
@nelsonic didn't you order this but it was out of stock? Would you be able to check and reorder the one you had found or send me the link and I'll do it?
