Briefly comment on this issue with reasons why you are interested in this mini-project.

This being my second proposed project sparks my interests in terms of understanding the concepts of the pangenome as a way of tracing the origins of these bacterial strains. In addition, I will also gain a deeper understanding of MLSTs, which i intend to incorporate within my software.

I am interested in this as my second project as genomic characterization of bacterial isolate is something i would be interested in learning. I believe this project may impart in me skills that will be very vital for me going forward in my interests and aid me when i am carrying out my project.

I am intetested in this as my first choice. Genomic characterization of bacterial isolates is what i intend to do as my project, and i believe this mini-project will better my skills

I am interested in Genomic characterization as my second project because if you know the genetic differences between the strains will help in its control and drug development which is my main interest. This will enhance my genomic skills

This is my second choice project since am also interested in disease epidemiology and with genomic characterization one may be able to find out why some people get certain diseases while others do not, or why people react in different ways to the same drug. This will expand my knowledge in this area

This is my second choice of projects. I am interested in viruses causing diarrhoea in humans and this project provides a caveat in understanding the role bacteria i. e E.coli to diarrhoea diseases. Genomic sequence data from fecal samples of individuals who have experienced diarrhea disease, always contain large chunks of E. coli genomes. This presents a chance to identify pathogenic bacteria and associate such with diarrhea disease.

Am choosing this as my second choice!! Ecoli is a real problem in developing countries, genomic characterization of the same would be a contributing factor to better understand it and a step forward to its elimination

Am interested in genomic characterisation of bacteria in order to empower me to carry out my projects in future. And as such bacterial contaminants are a big problem when growing MTN cultures so doing genomic characterisation would help me improve on my knowledge further.
