Apache License 2 Build Status Gitter

Vicki

Why?

Although as concept DFD makes sense and few of us may give it a try and see how it helps them, yet DFD is just a theory. Even if its promising, its majorly a theory. To implement DFD, it would need some thought process in the design part of it, which might be a reason why someone would not like start with DFD. Vicki solves this problem. It helps to kick start the DFD implementation without you doing much of initial and boiler plate thinking. It gives you the most common scenarios as built in structure and helps you running with DFD. Further you can choose how you twist or utilize the DFD in your own way.

What?

Vicki gives a simple tool which you can deploy in your environment, which should be reachable from your build system.

  1. Its gives a tool based on FOSS technology, which most of the enterprises would not have any problem to use.
  2. Its a single deployment component which dpends on a MySQL instance. This will make the deployment of the tool easy.
  3. It would have its own UI to interact with and few REST APIs to exchange data with.
  4. It would have its own authN and authZ system in initial release. In later releases, it will also have SAML integration.
  5. It comes with Apache 2.0 license which would make any enterprise worry free to use it.

How?

This would be added once we derive our application architecture and technology stack.
