We have our first 4.17 nightly build available.

I recommend the BIRT developers pull master (sync your fork first if master comes from a fork) and use Help -> Perform Setup Tasks to perform the Modular Targlet task to have the latest target platform set up. Then happy developing for 4.17!
FYI, I built our file 4.17 milestone:

SimRel RC2/final contributions are next week, so I hope to wind down the BIRT release cycle around September 11th.
SimRel releases today. I built another BIRT milestone yesterday.

Guys, just to 100% sure, you are both 99.9% convinced the current milestone is stable and well-tested for any manual tests that the ci tests might not cover?
You are right, I did not look at the latest build. I will take it for a final spin.
The preview does not work anymore:

This new milestone contains all the latest changes:

Please give your thumbs up here or report any new problems. (Releases can't be unreleased, so test!)
First note from my side to milestone release "S202409130914"
BIRT designer: tested and running
BIRT OSGi: tested and running

That's great. 👍
At some point tomorrow, I'll assume @wimjongman is also good to go for the release with the current milestone...
I am.
The release is published.

I will shortly update all the versions and the target platform to produce the first nightly build of 4.18.0 and will track progress via issue #1910
