I will also use this issue to document how necessary GCAM-CDR is to use as compared with any potential challenges of using it.

I looked through the GCAM-CDR repository today, especially the documentation. While I learned a lot about the different aspects that GCAM-CDR can control, I am still very lost regarding how I will apply this. In particular:

  1. GCAM-CDR seems to lack state-by-state functionality. In this sense, how will we get the granularity we need for our results?
  2. How do I download the GCAM-CDR files considering that I already have GCAM installed and GCAM-CDR isn't a complete GCAM?
  3. How will I edit these files since there are no CSVs (like with GCAM)? Should I plan on editing them directly with Python then?
