The Watershed Pollution page says “industrial facilities” but the information below the map shows information also for public wastewater treatment plants. Some facilities (e.g., Bergen County Utilities Authority) discharge into saline or tidal waters, having no impact on drinking water quality, raising questions about the value of some points.
This is a tough one. How to figure out which facilities may have some impact on drinking water? Do we have information on where discharges are made to? (it might be available). At the very least, we can try to re-word things from "industrial facilities" to something else more general...wastewater dischargers?
