better handling of partially complete simulations #13

  1. besides just printing the expected remaining time, save a checkpoint of simulation data whenever SIGUSR1 is received

  2. jackknife function: handle inhomogeneous data (i.e. bins with different n_sample) properly. this is a little tricky
