Feature - display value computed with expression

Hi alessandro. Combining your plugin + a filter expression based on a function (see https://hub.qgis.org/issues/10900) , I can filter relations only in current mapcanvas. That would be great then to be able to display and order by a computed distance to relation candidates such as:

feature 1 - 100m feature 2 - 150 m

All this would deserve to be ported in core though. Do you have any plan in this area?

unfortunately, due to design limitations with the current core widgets system implementation and lack of time, I've momentarily given up with porting this into core.
