[Issue] #730

The issue

When using Ctrl+Super+T to set a new wallpaper, I am able to select a new wallpaper, and the colours change accordingly. However, the actual wallpaper itself does not change. Giving the filename to a different image (i.e renaming the current wallpaper to Wallpaper1.png and renaming a different image to Wallpaper.png) does result in the wallpaper changing as expected, but no changes to the colours.

Logs I'm not sure what logs to give here, since I'm not actually sure what component is failing, but I'd be happy to provide them if told what's needed.

whats up with all that naming... just pick it?

can you give logs of ~/.config/ags/scripts/color_generation/switchcolor.sh

I had the same problem a while ago and it was because swww-daemon didn't run at startup. @Demigirlboss please check if it is running with swww query.

Demigirlboss commented 1 month ago

swww-daemon is not in fact running. Initializing it via the command swww-daemon does in fact resolve the issue. @end-4 I feel it might be prudent to add this to the FAQ for the confiig, since I've had this issue crop up fairly consistently.
