Getting Started
Step 1: Install MongoDB Compass (GUI)
- Download MongoDB Compass from the MongoDB Compass Download Page.
- Install Compass by following the provided instructions.
Step 2: Connect to MongoDB using Compass
- Open MongoDB Compass.
- In the connection window, enter your connection string:
- For a local instance, use:
mongodb://localhost:27017
- For a remote instance, use your provided connection string (e.g.,
mongodb+srv://<username>:<password>@cluster.mongodb.net/<dbname>
).
- Click "Connect" to establish the connection.
- Once connected, you can create a new database by clicking on "Create Database" and entering the database name and collection name.
Step 3: Install Required Packages
npm install
# or
yarn install
# or
pnpm install
# or
bun install
You will need to set up the following environment variables in your .env
file for MongoDB:
MONGO_USER= ask in discord
MONGO_PASSWORD= ask in discord
MONGODB_URI="ask in discord"
MONGO_APPNAME= Dev
MONGO_HOST= " ask in discord"
Then, run the development server:
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun dev
