Update outdated/deprecated actions #244

Description

moves all actions/checkout to @v4
moves all erlef/setup-beam to @v1
moves all actions/setup-node to @v4

(this also includes what we suggest in README)

Closes #243.

This seems to still complain about our own action but I can't see where. I'd merge this and then check the results in main, before releasing. I don't know where GHA is getting the NodeJS is prior to 20 warning from...
