Any Pull Request to /Baseline during Hackathon #170

Closed humbitious closed 2 years ago

Description

Part of the reason for doing the Baseline Hackathon is to catalyze new regular contributors to the Baseline Protocol. There are many places in the current codebase to add value. Some require just a small amount of work and some present opportunities for significant work. Much of the high-priority larger projects have their own bounties in the Hackathon. This challenge is simply to make any contribution to the work and get it approved by the Maintainers during the period of the hackathon: December 9 (0:00hrs GMT) through January 6 (midnight GMT).

Task

Find a place to add value to the baseline protocol work in whatever way you identify. Talk on the slack workgroup with the project maintainers and others to find places in the codebase or documentation that could use work and get advice on how to approach it. Fork the repo and make your changes, then submit a pull request to the https://github.com/ethereum-oasis/baseline repo.

Criteria and Eligibility

The baseline protocol is maintained by requiring three Maintainers to approve any pull request. If you make a pull request and get it approved by the Maintainers to merge to Main branch, you will be awarded the bounty. Maintainers are not eligible for this bounty. Only one bounty per github ID will be awarded.

Bounty

A total of $1,000 in Eth is allocated to this bounty. The number of successful contributors will divide the bounty evenly.

Suggestions for projects that you can do to fulfill this general "Any Pull Request" challenge.

Also, talk to the Maintainers in the Baseline Protocol slack channel "#dev" and they have many ideas for places you could contribute to the codebase and documentation.
