Rubing Chen and Edward Holmes analyzed the influenza B virus evolution in "the Evolutionary Dynamics of Human Influenza B Virus" and the Figure 2 of that paper quite clearly showed the co-reassortment of Victoria PB1-PB2-HA into the Yamagata background. Although they didn't conduct a complete and detailed analysis as the present manuscript did, appropriate reference/discussion/credit to that paper is needed.
