As we said, here is the picture:
each Trello list is a category to be displayed (excepted defined lists, see #32)
we'll be able to filter out tags (expected in #31)
you could define a configuration card for people to bind some tags with categories to create the same effect than Smashing Magazine (some tags are highlighted and looks like subcategories).
