I can't even find the widget in the list. I got the app from Fdroid

Fdroid does not yet offer the latest version that is published on github. You either have to wait some time (I guess about 2 weeks) or download it via github.

This offers it already, I think it is related to fdroid. It seems that it can be added as a repo to the official client.

Will it be updated soon? Maybe reduce the space it takes up and have it show the last played song?
