Personally, I'd sooner use Nexus Mods (http://www.nexusmods.com/kerbalspaceprogram). It's a shame the KSP community as a whole haven't adopted Nexus Mods, it's matured fairly well, and is a fairly good mod manager.
Of course, Steam Workshop support would be far better, but alas that's not something that this repo could solve.
No. FAR is already available on github and KerbalStuff, I see no reason to add more mirrors for their own sake. Neither site has anything of value to offer.
That's a shame. The value to players is that curse.com can download all "favourite" mods at once, which makes upgrading a lot easier... at least until KSP come up with a strategic solution.
It'd make sense for them to use Steam Workshop, unless they had a particular reason to want to avoid Steam integration.
I am very happy that you're using github and I wish all KSP adon devs were doing so, but it looks like there is a trend to publish all the binaries on curse. I must admit, this makes it really easy to stay up-to-date with all preferred mods because they allow "favourite" adons to be marked and downloaded in bulk (very useful when a new version of kerbal is released!)
