feat(types): add types. closes #186 #198

Just thought of submitting an MR for the soln I commented on the issue #186 I raised. It's directly forked from the latest master, and didn't require that require change.

Ah, right, sorry. Just ignore this one. Also looks like it is failing anyways. Probably the require change is required after all.
