Sometimes OpenRGB causes CPU / Machine (something?) to lag every few seconds #4

I might need some help troubleshooting this, and it's very sporadic, but occasionally I'll launch a game or something and notice that there are pauses / frame drops every 3 seconds or so... I usually think it's the game so I'll restart, but then I'll notice that it's happening beyond the game... just moving the mouse pointer around the desktop shows the pauses as well. Previously I'd just reboot the machine and it'd be resolved. Today it happened, and instead of rebooting, I killed the OpenRGB process since it was one of the highest CPU users in Task Manager (still very small, 3-4% but nothing else running really). The pauses / freezes completely went away. Relaunching OpenRGB, the problem didn't come back. So... if there's a way to do some troubleshooting while this is happening I'd love to get some help there (as I realize there's not nearly enough detail or specifics here to start to look at anything) - If anyone can 'arm' me with ways to debug or troubleshoot, then the next time it happens I might be able to collect some info to see what's happening.

Just experienced a similar issue, except it was just lagging my mouse cursor, and only started happening when I set the process priority to "high" (the lighting I use with the effects plugin would lag on my keyboard otherwise). The moment I closed OpenRGB, my mouse was smooth as butter again, so I'm certain it's something to do with the CPU usage.

I never found / got a solution for this; I just stopped using the effects plugin, which obviously was causing the issue.

It seems to happen under very specific circumstances, at least for me- When I use the Advanced > Gradient Wave pattern on my GPU, the pattern doesn't lag and it doesn't seem to lag my system. But when I try Advanced > Sequence on my keyboard, the lighting will have almost constant hitching, and trying to make the process have higher priority just starts hitching my cursor instead.
