Create filter in software tab to exclude vulnerabilities based on type

• The software page shows vulnerabilities
• Vulnerabilities from Apple applications are shown (Like Safari), which update with the OS itself
• There are also vulnerabilities shown for applications that were installed via Homebrew
• In some cases, customers do not want vulnerabilities in the UI that they don't have any control patching the version for
• Sometimes management views this list of vulnerabilities, which makes it seem like there are a large number of problems to be addressed by the vulnerability management team, when in reality - IT controls the OS updates and thus the patching of those OS dependent applications

Problem

• There is no way to filter out vulnerabilities shown on the software page in the UI by "type"

Potential solutions

1. Add a filter to the "type" column in the software page, so that users can select types of software to exclude from the list.
   • Example: Exclude the type "Application (MacOS)"

Additional notes

1. While queries can be written to resolve this, the UI functionality is missing
