Filter by policy right from Hosts page #23397

Problem

As an IT manager, I want to quickly use the Hosts page as a way to get most of my metrics, without the need to click around.

I would like the "Filter" dropdown from the Host page to also include Policies that I can select.

What have you tried?

The way to view the policy status on each hosts nos requires a couple clicks. Policies > Select the boolean value I want to filter on, and then this takes me right back to the Host page, this time with just a filter applied.

Potential solutions

There is a Filter dropdown already, for Labels and others. This dropdown could include policies.

What is the expected workflow as a result of your proposal?

I go to Host page, select the policy I want to filter by and the boolean value, all without leaving this page.

Hey @phtardif1 can you please draft an order form w/ this request and schedule some time w/ me to review?

In order to prioritize a feature request, we want it to meet one of these criteria: https://fleetdm.com/handbook/company/product-groups#criteria-for-prioritization

So, to prioritize prospect requests it has to be in an order form.

Hey @noahtalerman my understanding is that this is not a mission-critical feature request, just something they would like to see added to the platform.
